Organizing and accessing the contributions of thousands of students presents a formidable challenge. We strive to build a well-organized and comprehensive collection of student thesis projects that students, teachers, and lovers of the constructed environment can study for years to come.
The functionality described here will be available from September 1, 2010, after students have uploaded their thesis work. SADi provides three methods for enjoying the collection:
Project Collections
Browse or search the Student Project Collection.
Each student uploads an undergrad or graduate thesis project that is comprised of images, an artist’s statement, and supporting material. The collections is organized by discipline making it easy to search your field and explore recent trends. You can also search student projects by name, school, discipline, year, and keyword, and then view matching projects in their entirety. Special-mention student projects such as SADi award winners are also designated in this section..

Featured Image Galleries
Browse or search Featured Image Galleries.
Another approach to understanding and enjoying the collection is to assemble groups of similar images from different Student Projects. These “Galleries” demonstrate a range of student contributions consistent with a particular theme or principle. Want to see a selection of images from projects set in Lagos? Or that pertain to casinos? Or that would make Mies smile? The featured image galleries provide immediate access to images and student projects organized by theme.

User Albums
Create your own User Albums.
Any images you discover in the Student Project Collection or Featured Image Galleries can be tagged and organized into your own User Albums. Creating or deleting albums, and adding to or deleting images from each album, is simple and intuitive. Enjoy your User Albums as you would a well-organized collection of bookmarks. You can also send your albums to other users, or post them for all to enjoy. Build your own narrative and favorites from our vast collection.
